Monotypes and Etchings are inspired mostly by my gestural ink sketches, works on paper and figure drawings.

As a printmaker and a draftsman, I approach printmaking and drawing with the same state of mind. After making a selection, my black and white sketches are transformed into monotypes or etchings. Color is added; some details are changed, and the lines are taken to their logical conclusion. Color is where I seek information, from the color, the sketch reemerges. A sketchbook page taken to the extreme.
